Dr. Martin hails from North Carolina where she spent her childhood and developed her passion for animals.
She attended North Carolina State University (GO PACK!!) in Raleigh, NC where she received her B.S. in both Genetics and Biological Sciences. She continued her education in Raleigh at North Carolina State University- College of Veterinary Medicine and graduated in 2015 with her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine degree.
The early part of her career was spent in San Diego, CA where she spent time in emergency medicine and later, practicing in a high-volume small animal clinic. In 2021 she relocated to Georgia, to live closer to family, where she eventually joined Cedarcrest Animal Hospital in 2024. Over the years, Dr. Martin has developed special interests in geriatric medicine, neurology and soft tissue surgery. She values the human-animal bond and strives to provide high quality care and client education to maximize and foster this relationship.
When not practicing veterinary medicine, Dr. Martin enjoys reading, cooking, traveling, working on her "green-thumb" and spending time outside with her husband Kyle and 2 boys- Owen and Lucas. She has 2 cats, Mako and Loki, whose antics keep them all entertained.
